Department History
1968 - Established the Five-Year Junior College Day Program in Accounting and Statistics, commonly referred to as “Accounting and Statistics Program,” marking the department’s founding.
1973 - Expanded with the launch of the Two-Year Junior College Evening Program in Accounting and Statistics.
2003 - Transitioned to a four-year bachelor's degree system, founding the Department of Accounting Information in both the Day Division and the Continuing Education Division.
2009 - Introduced the two-year bachelor's program for working professionals (Evening Division).
2010 - Founded the independent Graduate Institute of Accountancy and Taxation.
2012 - Added a Two-Year Undergraduate Division in the Day Division.
2014 - Reorganized to integrate the undergraduate program and the Graduate Institute of Accountancy and Taxation into one unified department.
2015 - Applied to launch the Industry-Academe Collaboration Track for the Four-Year Undergraduate Division.
2018 - Applied to launch the Master of Accountancy and Taxation (MAT) - Industrial Graduate Program.
2023 - Submitted a proposal for the Master’s Industrial Co-op Program in ESG and Digital Carbon Management.
To date, more than fifty graduating classes have successfully entered various industries, reflecting the department’s ongoing commitment to nurturing outstanding accounting professionals.
